The process behind your organization's success with Digimarc for Images.

There are two primary stages to the workflow: embedding digital watermarks and locating where they are being used on the web. Once you have embedded digital watermarks into your images, Digimarc Search Service crawls the web to locate your watermarked content and generate reports indicating where they are found.

Embedding

Digital watermarks can be embedded into your digital images in three ways:

  • Via a desktop application for ad hoc needs.
  • Through an XML-driven command line embedder for parallel integration with an asset management system.
  • Using a software development kit (SDK) for custom integration.

Enterprise Edition workflow embedding

Digital watermarks can be embedded as images are imported into your system or as a final stage in the preparation of images for delivery to partners and customers. We will work closely with you to understand your goals and determine the best way to integrate watermark embedding to meet your specific needs and requirements.

Digimarc Search Service with Reporting

Once images are embedded with your unique digital watermarks, the Enterprise Edition Search Service will:

  • Search millions of sites across the public Internet looking for your watermarked images.
  • Search specific Web sites that you identify for ongoing monitoring.
  • Indicate where your images are found in monthly reports, which can be used for program management and enforcement of your usage rights.

In addition, once unauthorized use of an image is discovered, you can use LicenseStream to initiate your choice of remedies:

  • Legally license the image under your terms and conditions
  • Issue a take-down notice
  • Authorize use of the image providing it is linked back to your site
  • Initiate a collections process where appropriate

Reports are available online and emailed monthly. Raw data is also available for an additional fee.
