Media-Sync, a joint venture between The Nielsen Company and Digimarc, is a complete platform that allows TV content producers and broadcasters to deploy real-time sync-to-broadcast mobile apps. Media-Sync leverages audio watermarks already inserted into nearly every TV program in the U.S. as part of Nielsen's industry standard TV audience ratings service.
Media-Sync is changing the way viewers interact with television. The breakthrough Grey’s Anatomy Sync iPad app garnered a 2011 Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media. Additional Media-Sync enabled shows include The Weather Channel's "From the Edge with Peter Lik" and OWN TV’s "Oprah's Lifeclass."
