Digimarc receives top rankings on global lists by three independent patent evaluators
Beaverton, OR — March 19, 2010 — IEEE Spectrum's Patent Power 2010 Scorecard, another independent evaluator of patents, has ranked Digimarc Corporation's (NASDAQ: DMRC) portfolio ninth among industry heavyweights in Computer Software in "Pipeline Power," and #1 in "Pipeline Impact."
Three independent patent evaluators have ranked Digimarc among global technology leaders such as Microsoft, Verizon, Oracle, Apple, and Time Warner — in just the past month alone. The three independent evaluators — the Wall Street Journal, IEEE Spectrum, and MDB Capital Group — all used different proprietary analytical methods to assess companies' patent strength, quality, and industry impact scores for their ranking lists.
"We are beginning to see traction and market momentum form around our vision of enabling computers to see, hear, and understand their surroundings; and react to the world around them," said Bruce Davis, Chairman and CEO. "The consistently high rankings by three independent patent evaluators are encouraging recognition of Digimarc's innovation and diligence in developing valuable patent assets, reflecting on the breadth, quality, and importance of our patents in digital watermarking and, more generally, in the fields of signal processing, content identification and management, search, mobile applications, and ubiquitous computing."
To explain the powerful implications of Digimarc's patents, Bruce Davis, Chairman & CEO will present at the upcoming Bright Lights Conference taking place in San Francisco. A webcast of the presentation will be available on the Digimarc website. The presentation will highlight Digimarc's current solutions, as well as discuss some of the endless possibilities of Digimarc's patents in future technologies.

Digimarc has built an extensive intellectual property portfolio with patents in digital watermarking, content identification and management, media and object discovery to enable ubiquitous computing, and related technologies.
